ELVIRA CERESOLI (REGGIO EMILIA, 1878 – ?)

 

 

 

In 1904 at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Turin she (as Ceresoli-Salvatori) created the role of Sofia Ivanovna in the premiere of the Franco Alfano’s opera ‘’Risurrezione’’.

She had a brief career. She probably made her debut in 1886 at the Teatro Politeama Genovese in Genoa in Félicien David’s Lalla-Roukh.

BEATRICE COSTA MARRUGAT

 

 

 

She probably made her debut at the Teatro Pizarro in Valencia as Amneris in Aida. In 1909 she appeared in Pesaro, Venice, and Ostiglia. During the 1911–1912 season she sang at the Teatro Liceo in Barcelona in Les Huguenots, Carmen, and Tannhäuser. In 1912 she performed at the Coliseo Recrejos in Lisbon in Andrea Chenier, Il Trovatore, and La Gioconda. In 1914 she returned to Barcelona, appearing at the Teatro Tivoli in La Favorita. She probably retired from the stage in 1917.

ALBERTINA DAL MONTE (FAENZA, 1897 – ?)

 

 

 

She began her education with Savioni and Alessandro Vezzanti in Bologna, then studied under Manlio Bavagnoli in Milan. She made her debut in 1919 at the Teatro Comunale of Faenza as Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana. From 1920, Dal Monte began appearing as a mezzo-soprano and made her second debut at the Teatro Carcano in Milan, singing the role of the Countess in Andrea Chenier. Her career evolved as follows:

TINA FARELLI (FIRENZE, 1879 – ?)

 

 

 

She made her debut as a mezzo-soprano, but after further studies with the pedagogue Serafino De Falco, she made her second debut as a soprano in 1902 at the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza in Ballo in Maschera. She married the conductor Bovi, and after her retirement, she opened the singing school Accademia Filarmonica Italiana in Havana. She settled in Cuba, where her school remained active at least until 1930.
