He studied singing at the Conservatoire of Montpellier and made his debut there as Vincent in Gounod’s Mireille. He had a successful career, primarily at prominent French provincial opera stages, though he also performed internationally. Between 1935 and 1939, he made several appearances at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, as well as in Switzerland and at opera theaters in North Africa. During the 1939-1940 season, he was heard at the Paris Opéra-Comique.

His repertoire included roles such as Gérald in Lakmé, Des Grieux in Manon, Werther, Don José in Carmen, Nadir in Les Pêcheurs de Perles, the Duke in Rigoletto, Alfredo in La Traviata, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, and Cavaradossi in Tosca. In the early 1930s, he gained sensational success when he performed the role of Prince Sou-Chong in Lehár’s Land des Lächelns in Nancy, a role he reprised on many stages in France and Belgium. He later achieved similar success as Octavio in Lehár’s operetta Giuditta.

He continued his career after World War II, retiring from the stage in 1964. After his retirement, he taught singing at the Conservatoire of Casablanca.
