MARY JORDAN (CARDIFF, NOVEMBER 27, 1879 – SAN ANTONIO, MAY 15, 1961)
She first entered the Saint Cecilia Convent in Scranton and later studied privately with various teachers in Seattle, San Francisco, and New York.
She made her operatic debut as Amneris with the Boston Opera Company on March 28, 1911. She also appeared in churches in Brooklyn and New York City.
She toured Asia and for a time served as a professor at the Manila Conservatory. Eventually, she settled in San Antonio, where she worked as a voice teacher.
