Description
BENJAMIN SCHERZER
Ben (or Benjamin) Scherzer (also spelled Schertzer) was a violinist active in the early 1920s who recorded under a pseudonym. He made commercial recordings for several North American labels, including Ajax, Apex, and Pathé/Perfect. His recorded repertoire consisted mainly of popular and light-classical violin pieces typical of the period, and his work reflects the activity of professional studio musicians employed by multiple labels during the acoustic recording era.
