Per Biørn was a distinguished Danish baritone renowned for his operatic roles and contributions to music education.

Early Career and Debut:

  • Debut: Biørn made his professional debut in 1913 at the Hofoper in Berlin, performing the role of Heerrufer in Lohengrin by Richard Wagner.

Career Highlights:

  • Royal Theater: Starting in 1917, he was employed at the Royal Theater (Royal Danish Opera), where he portrayed significant roles including:
    • Marsk Stig in Drot og Marsk by Johan Peter Emilius Hartmann
    • Wolfram in Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner
    • Germont in La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi
  • Royal Chamber Singer: In 1934, Biørn was honored with the title of Royal Chamber Singer, a prestigious recognition of his contributions to Danish opera.
