GUIDO VACCARI
He studied in Padua under Giacomo Orefice. In the 1898–99 season, he appeared at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice in Die Walküre. In 1899, Vaccari sang at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste in Tristano e Isotta, Cornil Schut by Smareglia, and Ponchielli’s La Gioconda. He continued to appear at the same theater in later years — in 1906 (Die Walküre), 1908 (Loreley), and 1912 (Die Walküre).
In 1901, he sang the role of Siegmund at the opera house in Treviso. The following year, he returned to Venice, performing at the Teatro Rossini in L’elisir d’amore. During the 1902–03 season, Vaccari again appeared at the Teatro La Fenice, this time in Weber’s Euryanthe.
At the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, he performed in Die Walküre (1905, 1908, and 1919) and Parsifal (1914). At La Scala in Milan, he sang in Weber’s Der Freischütz (1906) and Die Walküre (1909–10).
He retired from the stage in 1920. Vaccari was married to the mezzo-soprano Maria Vaccari, who appeared with him in 1908 at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna in Die Walküre and La Wally.

ALBERTO CAFFO (BASSANO DEL GRAPPA, 1877 – MILANO, 1931)
He studied with Orefice in Padua and Pollini in Milan. His stage debut took place at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Turin in 1903 as Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata. Caffo later sang at the Teatro Comunale in Corfu (1905), and also appeared in Rome (Teatro Nazionale) and Milan (Teatro Dal Verme).
During the First World War, he was called up for military service in 1917 and resumed his singing career in 1919, performing at the Teatro Chiabrera in Savona. Active throughout the 1920s, he became known as an interpreter of the heavier lyric roles of the Italian repertoire, appearing mainly on provincial stages.
After retiring from the stage, he became a respected voice teacher. Among his pupils were Piero Pauli, Augusta Oltrabella, Tullio Verona, and the American soprano Marion Talley.

GIULIO TINCANI
This forgotten tenor was active in Italy around the 1910s and 1920s. He probably made his debut in 1915. In 1916, Tincani sang in Catalani’s Loreley at the Coliseo Recreios in Lisbon opposite Salomea Kruscelnicka. In the same year, he appeared in Catania at the Politeama Pacini, performing the role of the Duke in Rigoletto. In 1920, he sang in Tosca and Fedora at the same theater. He probably retired from the stage around 1930.

GILMO ZAMPIERI
He studied in Milan with Vincenzo Villani and probably made his debut in 1907. By 1909, he had arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, where at the Teatro Petit Champs he performed in Ruy Blas, Il trovatore, and Andrea Chénier.
In the 1911–1912 season, Zampieri made guest appearances at the Paleis voor Volksvlijt in Amsterdam, singing in Rigoletto, Fedora, Pagliacci, Carmen, and La Traviata. From Amsterdam, he traveled to Bucharest, where at the Teatro Blandazic he appeared in Cavalleria rusticana, Tosca, Pagliacci, and Un ballo in maschera.
His last known appearance was at the Teatro delle Varietà in Abbiategrasso, where he sang the role of Pollione in Norma. In Italy, he performed at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo (1909), Teatro Bellini in Naples (1908), and Teatro Manzoni in Pistoia (1911). Zampieri made three recordings for Odeon Fonotipia.
