She received her education at the Paris Conservatoire under Duvernoy, Melchissédec, and Mangin. In 1904, she made her debut at the Grand Opéra in Paris as Helmwige in Die Walküre, and later sang the role of Ines in Donizetti’s La Favorite. During the early years of her career, she took on various roles at the opera house, where she remained a member until 1927. These roles included Jemmy in Rossini’s William Tell, Urbain in Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots, Crobyle in Thaïs, and Eunoë in Massenet’s Ariane. In 1907, she married the composer Georges Brun and performed under the name Antoinette Laute-Brun. That same year, she toured Belgium with the baritone Jean Noté.
