ERIK WIRL (EBENSEE, MAY 30, 1884 – ROTTACH-EGERN, FEBRUARY 15, 1954)

 

 

 

 

He was the son of a doctor. Already as a boy he appeared as soprano. He studied singing in Munich with Schuegraf and made his debut in 1906 at the Bayreuth Festival as young sailor in ‘’Tristan und Isolde’’. During the 1920’s he devoted himself primarily to the operetta in Berlin and Vienna.
