Description
FRANZ KLARWEIN (GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, BAVARIA, GERMANY, 8 MARCH, 1914 – GRÜNWALD, BAVARIA, GERMANY, 16 DECEMBER, 1991)
He studied singing under Fritz Kerzmann and at the music colleges of Frankfurt am Main and Berlin. He made his debut in 1937 as a lyric tenor at the Volksoper in Berlin, where he remained until 1942. From that time onward, he was also a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. He retired from the stage in 1977. He was married to the renowned soprano Sari Barabas.
