Description
THOMAS MAGYAR (BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, 16 FEBRUARY, 1913 – THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS, 20 AUGUST, 2008)
His real name was Tamás Aurél Magyar. He studied with Jenne Hubay at the Franz Liszt Conservatory and later studied under Karl Fresh. Acting as a soloist since 1936, he became a professor at the Rotterdam Conservatory after World War II. In 1955 he participated in the Dutch Chamber Orchestra founded by Simon Goldberg and served as a concertmaster.
