RENZO MINOLFI (PALERMO, 1877 – MILAN, 1943)

His career was primarily centered on Italy’s larger provincial stages, where he became known for his powerful portrayal of Don Carlo in La forza del destino, performing this role in theaters across Salerno, Parma, Bergamo, Padova, and beyond. In 1909, he created the role of Sharpless in the Parma premiere of Madama Butterfly, adding to his acclaim. After retiring from the stage, Minolfi established a singer’s agency in Milan, where he dedicated himself to nurturing young talent and supporting the next generation of opera artists.
