AGOSTINO LANZONI (BOLOGNA, 1853 – BOLOGNA, 1918)
In the early 20th century, he had a successful career as a serious bass in the leading provincial theaters of Italy, particularly at the Teatro Comunale in his hometown of Bologna. Notably, in 1890, he participated in the premiere of Filippo Clementi’s opera La Pellegrina at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna. In addition to his stage work, he was also a respected concert bass. In 1900, he performed at the Salone Perosi in Milan, where he took part in the premiere of Lorenzo Perosi’s oratorio Mosè.
