Description

TINA FARELLI (FLORENCE, 1879 – ?)

She initially debuted as a mezzo-soprano but, following further vocal studies with the esteemed pedagogue Serafino De Falco, she transitioned to soprano roles. Her second debut as a soprano took place in 1902 at the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza, where she performed in Un ballo in maschera.

She married conductor Bovi, and after retiring from the stage, she established the “Accademia Filarmonica Italiana,” a school of singing in Havana. The academy became a notable institution and remained active in Cuba until at least 1930, contributing significantly to vocal education in the region.
