 AURORA RETTORE ( ? 1901 – ?)

 

 

 

 

She likely made her debut in 1918. During the 1921-22 season, she appeared at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome, where she performed in Francesca da Rimini, Boris Godunov, Gianni Schicchi, and Suor Angelica. In 1925, she sang at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo in Anna Karenina by I. Rubbiani. The following year, in 1926, she made guest appearances at Covent Garden in London, performing in La Bohème and Falstaff.

From 1933 to 1935, she was part of the ensemble at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Among her notable performances there, she took part in the premiere of L. Rocca’s opera Il Dibuk in 1934.
