EBE BOCCOLINI (ANCONA, 1882 – ?)

 

 

 

 

She studied under Giordano Ruzzo in Bologna and made her debut in 1906 at the Politeama in Pisa as Nedda in Pagliacci. During the 1911-12 season, she was part of the ensemble of the Italian opera in Holland, performing in Amsterdam and ‘s-Gravenhage. In 1913, she appeared at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in the Italian premiere of Wolf-Ferrari’s I Gioielli della Madonna. The following year, she performed at the Teatro Lirico in Milan in the Italian premiere of Wolf-Ferrari’s I Quattro rusteghi.

In 1915, she achieved significant success at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, performing roles in La Bohème, La Traviata, and Manon. In 1921, she embarked on extensive tours in Chile and Peru, often appearing alongside Bernardo De Muro. That same year, she and De Muro were featured at the Havana opera house in a performance of Andrea Chénier.

In 1925, she performed at the Teatro Liceo in Barcelona. She retired from the stage in 1930. She was married to the renowned actor Ermete Zacconi.
