GIUSEPPINA PICCOLETTI (MILAN, 1876 – ? 1952)
She studied singing with Melchiorre Vidal and made her debut in 1893 at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan in Promessi Sposi by A. Ponchielli. By 1900, she had already appeared at the Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile, where she performed as Gilda in Rigoletto, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor by G. Donizetti, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, and Ines in L’Africaine by G. Meyerbeer.
Later, she opened a vocal studio in Milan, where she taught for many years. Among her notable pupils was soprano Antonietta Pastori.
