IRIS ADAMI CORRADETTI (MILAN, 19 MARCH, 1903 – PADOVA, 26 JUNE, 1998)
She studied singing under her mother, Bice Adami, a renowned soprano, and her father, Ferruccio Corradetti, a celebrated baritone. She made her operatic debut in 1927 at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan as Rosalina in Franco Vittadini’s opera Anima allegra. After a successful career, she retired from the stage in 1948.
Following her retirement, she became a highly respected vocal pedagogue. She initially taught in Trieste and, from 1959, served as a professor at the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice. Later, she continued her teaching career in Padua. Among her distinguished students were Katia Ricciarelli, Margherita Roberti, and Katharina Ikonomou.
