ISABELLA DE FRATE (VALLETTA, 1892 – ? 1918 ?)

 

 

 

 

The daughter of the renowned soprano Ines de Frate, she followed in her mother’s footsteps with a promising, albeit brief, career in opera. Known for her performances in Parma and Rome, she gained attention not only for her talent but also for her personal life, including a brief relationship with the famous tenor Tito Schipa.

Despite her potential, her career was cut short, and she retired from the stage in 1918. Tragically, she passed away at a young age, leaving behind a legacy of what might have been had her career continued.
