Over the following twenty years, he had a successful career as a lyric tenor in prominent Italian provincial theaters. In the 1923-24 season, he appeared at La Scala as Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor. In 1915 and 1927, he performed at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and in 1928, he sang there as the Fisherman in the premiere of Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol, as Nicias in Massenet’s Thaïs, and in the premiere of the Argentine opera Chrysantheme by Peacan del Sar.
