DOMENICO RUSSO (MESSINA, 11 MARCH, 1874 – USA, 28 SEPTEMBER, 1932)

 

 

 

 

He studied singing under Paccini and Rossi and made his debut in Italy in 1892 as Manrico in Verdi’s Il Trovatore. He achieved particular success in the United States, where he made his debut around 1900 and became the principal tenor of the Tivoli Grand Opera Company. He was married to the soprano Edith Helena (1876–1956).
