Description
LUIGI BOLIS (? – SAVONA, ITALY, 1947)
Child of the baritone Dante Bolis and nephew of the great tenor Luigi Bolis, he studied in Milan with the teacher Cairone. Choosing the stage name Luigi Fagnani, he made his debut in 1900 at the Teatro Guillaume in Brescia as Armando in Papa Martin by A. Cagnoni. After some years, he transitioned to operetta. In 1908, while in Buenos Aires for a season of operettas, he was heard by the owner of the Teatro Marconi, who engaged him. He made his debut there the following season under his real name. He continued his career at least until 1925.
