ORESTE MIELI (MIELINO) (GALBIATE, NEAR COMO, 1870 – GALBIATE, NEAR COMO, 1924)

 

 

 

 

His career was primarily centered around Italian provincial theatres. In 1900, he performed at the Teatro Sociale in Rovigo as Andrea Chénier in U. Giordano’s Andrea Chénier. On January 17, 1901, he took part in one of the six premieres of P. Mascagni’s Le Maschere at the Teatro Regio in Turin, where he sang the role of Florindo. On November 30, 1904, he appeared at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Turin in the premiere of F. Alfano’s Risurrezione as Prince Dimitri.

Towards the end of his career, he began to perform as a baritone. He retired from the stage around 1915.
