MIECZYSŁAW MÜNZ (KRAKOW, OCTOBER 31, 1900 – NEW YORK, AUGUST 25, 1976)
He studied in Vienna and Berlin with Jerzy Lalewicz and Ferruccio Busoni. His students included many famous pianists, including: Emanuel Ax, Antonio Barbosa, Felicja Blumenthal, Sara Davis Buechner, Alan Feinberg, Walter Hautzig, Hidemitsu Hayashi, Eugen Indjic, Jahja Ling, Charles Milgrim, David Oei, Rinaldo Reyes, Harold Rubens, Schein Ann, Ilana Vered and Susan Popkin Wadsworth. In 1924, he went on a 4-month artistic tour of America. In the 1940s, he stopped giving concerts due to problems with his right hand. His wife was Aniela Młynarska (daughter of Emil Młynarski), who later married Artur Rubinstein.
