SERGEI LEVIK (ISRAIL YUDELEVICH) (WHITE CHURCH, KIEV, 16 (28) NOVEMBER, 1883 – ST. PTERSBURG, 5 SEPTEMBER, 1967)
In 1907, he studied singing under the tenor Michail Medvediev and, in 1908, appeared in concert alongside Italian opera singers. During the 1909-1912 seasons, he sang at the National House of St. Petersburg, making his debut as Demon. From 1912 to 1916, he performed at the Theatre of Musical Drama in St. Petersburg. He also made guest appearances in Kharkov (1910), Kiev, Minsk, Moscow, and other cities. He retired from the stage in 1923.
