VICENTE BALLESTER (VALENCIA, SPAIN, 1887 – VALENCIA, SPAIN, 3 OCOTBER, 1927)

 

 

 

 

He began his vocal studies in Barcelona under the guidance of Casas y Mayoral. In 1913, he advanced his training in Paris, studying with the legendary tenor Jean de Reszke, one of the most respected vocal instructors of his time.

He likely made his debut in Paris, performing in key roles such as Radamès in Aida, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana, and Canio in Pagliacci. His Italian debut took place in 1914 at the Teatro Martinetti in Garlasco, where he portrayed Renato in Giuseppe Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera. This marked the beginning of his career in Italy, where he continued to establish himself as a talented baritone with a promising future.
