VERA DÉNES (VERA GROSSMANN) (BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, MARCH 12, 1915 – BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, MARCH 16, 1970)

 

 

 

 

He studied at the Budapest College of Music. From 1933 to 1945 he taught privately as well as at the Goldmark School of Music. From 1945 he was the solo cellist of the Székesfővárosi Orchestra, and then of the Hungarian State Concert Orchestra. From 1945 to 1952 he also played in the Tatra String Quartet. From 1960 until his death he taught at the Liszt Ferenc College of Music. He has performed with great success in Hungary and abroad.
