KATHARINE GOODSON (WATFORD, HERTFORDSHIRE, JUNE 18, 1872 – LONDON, APRIL 14, 1958)

 

 

 

 

From 1886 to 1892 she was a pupil of O. Beringer at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and from 1892 to 1896 of Leschetizky in Vienna. She made her debut in London at a Saturday Popular Concert, Jan. 16, 1897, with signal success, then made tours of England, France, Austria, and Germany, which established her reputation. Her American debut, with the Boston Sym., took place on Jan. 18, 1907. She subsequently made many tours of the U.S., the Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. In 1903 she married Arthur Hinton.
