SAMUIL ISAAKOVICH FURER (ODESSA, UKRAINE, MARCH 9 (22), 1909 – SOCHI, RUSSIA, JUNE 20, 1979)
In 1919, a student of Pyotr Solomonovich Stolyarsky, Samuel Furer, gave his first concert. In 1924, at the age of fifteen, Samuel Furer became a student of Lev Zeitlin, professor at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1928 Furer became a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic. In 1933, at the First All-Union Competition of Music Performers, he deservedly became a laureate of the competition (3rd prize). He went to concerts in European countries. He died on June 20, 1979 in Sochi. Buried in Moscow at the Kuntsevo cemetery.
